Thanks for the great advice Telma! I do love a good LBD and I love the stringy ones over the t-shirt look – so cool and casual.

Black never goes out of fashion, followed closely by Navy for me! The best thing is that they don’t show dirt as quickly as lighter colours.

Oh to be 20 again with a body to show off my little back dress with the split up the side.  Memories.

Even in my late 50’s, I can’t stay away from black skirts and trousers. It is ageless and timeless.

You are only young once, make the most of it and invest in one of these wonderful creations.  Where can you buy them from?

I find many of your article interesting and nice on different types of dresses you write on most times

wearing a black dress depends mostly on individual because sometimes some people see purely black colour cloth as some kind of sign. Either negative or unknown. But in anyway black cloth are nice dresses especially with designs

I care less whether it represent unknown or negativity as long as it make me feel good and I also look good in them

I agree with you, Ajibola, people should care less of other people thinking and wearing more what they want, what they like and look best on them.

On the pass, black was considered a funeral color only, but those days fashion is supper open up for greats occasions and day by day situation.

Hi, thanks for this information about black dress, black has always been my favorite dress, it’s truth black never goes out fashion and it’s always cover up without exposing any private sector of the body, but there’s this belief about black dress that people who loves black dress as favorite are possessed by demons, what can u say about that??

    • Telma February 17, 2019 at 4:18 am - Reply

Hello, Yormith, about your question, I think this is a people invention so they do this association about black been a color of the dark. I don’t think all people that love black are possessed by bad forces if this was really a lot of people in the world would be in deep trouble. I know fill people that love black because they have big parts that are not proportional to their body, and black can reduce and make discrete those parts that all.

      Cheers,
